SFZine.org Launches Very Soon…

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

‘I’s are being dotted and ‘T’s are being crossed as I type these words.

We are set to launch with an Introduction and a story from the Master of Weird Horror himself.

The site re-design won’t be ready for another week, we think so please excuse the utilitarian look of the site for now.

Well, that’s all for now.

Sincerely,

CER

Update! Launch Date: February 28, 2009—ish

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

Hello. We are pleased to announce that a launch date of February 28, 2009 seems likely for SFZine.org!

We’ve received lots of wonderful submissions and feel confident that you’ll be as impressed by the range and quality of the stories that we will be presenting as we have been.

This said, please keep the stories coming. We are especially keen to find some more ‘hard’ Sci-Fi stories but we will consider any and all genre fiction (and non-fiction) that comes our way.

If you wish to be notified when we launch, just email us at admin@sfzine.org with the phrase “Notify Me” in the body or subject line of your email.

Cheers for now!

Yours,

CER

SFZine.org Coming Soon! Call for Submissions!

Saturday, October 4th, 2008

Hello.

You’ve found the future site of SFZine.org - The Unusual Internet Audio Magazine of Speculative Fiction.

We are currently accepting submissions in the following categories:

  1. Science Fiction
  2. Fantasy Fiction
  3. Horror Fiction
  4. Weird Fiction
  5. Reviews
  6. Fact Articles
  7. Editorials/Commentary

We are primarily interested in works between 6,000 and 10,000 words but feel free to submit works of shorter (flash fiction) or longer (serializable) length. We will consider everything (for which the audio rights are available.)

We pay $0.01 per word for the non-exclusive audio publication rights to works of fiction and poetry and a flat rate of $20.00 for narrated reviews, fact articles and commentary/editorials. This podcast will be distributed under a creative commons license and authors will retain all copyrights to their work.

Note: It is important to remember that the creative commons license allows for the unlimited free distribution of the podcast itself but does not allow for modification or selling of the contents.

If you have a work or works that you would be interested in submitting, please do so in plain text format (RTF is ok) as an attachment to an email addressed to: submissions@sfzine.org

Please be sure to include your full name, contact information and any biographical information you may be willing to share.

Thank you,

C E Ramirez
